(4/10) Shall we get the bad stuff over with right away?
Is there any way of making cheesecake taste of Fairy Liquid without actually putting detergent in? The chefs of Signor Valentino appear to have found a way should you want to give it a go. Desserts are not the strong point of this restaurant, as testified by the delightful photographic illustrations of them in the menu. Come on, syndicated puds are for bottom-rate curry houses.
But otherwise the place has a lot to offer. Panoramic views over the bay ease those lulls in conversation and there's plenty of fancy artwork on the walls. Waiters are all very friendly, even if they are a little over-eager to take your plate at the earliest opportunity. Are they short of china or something?
There's plenty of great food, especially the pizzas which were all excellent. Check out the carpaccio too - excellent starter.
Just one other gripe. Do these people really not have any better CDs to play. Maybe take your own and offer them as an act of charity.
