Happy Gathering Chinese in Canton? It's mentioned all the time in Olive magazine & they're always referring to the queues on a Sunday lunchtime, but it looks like a pretty standard Chinese to me! I'd like to try it and see.
How about the dim sum bar in the bay? And I think Bayside Brasserie have had an overhaul of their menu, so it might be worth another visit.

P.S. Tenkaichi is also amazing - on City Road. Service isn't always great though.

Topoli (Persian Cuisine, City Road [BYO!])
Hasapiko (Greek Taverna, Whitchurch Road)
Punithas (Indian Cuisine, Albany Road)
The Aegean Taverna (Greek Taverna, Woodville Road)
O Sole Mio (Italian Cuisine, Crwys Road)
Would be great to see what you think of these five. Went to Hazha quite recently and loved it even more after reading your review.
How about Seren on Cowbridge Rd? A lovely little Turkish place with great service and warm atmosphere. You can dine out on just the starters. Wonderful.
Good point. Been there of course but we should do a proper review. Have slightly mixed feelings about the place myself, but definitely streets ahead of Bosphorus.

Chief will probably not like THE GARCON ( suprprise surprise ) but ignore him as it is a traditional French Eatery with quality steaks and frites. The tables are in rows which I thought would not work but it does. Obvuously The Chief will not like slightly slow service ( which is typical of France ) and why hurry if you are on an evening out.

I went to The Roadhouse Restaurant for dinner last week and the food was absolutely fantastic, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. The staff in there do their best to make your evening great. so i would say this is an impressive place.
