Do try La Boheme in Wesley Lane (off Charles Street). I should be interested to hear your informed comment on the place since I always enjoy visiting there and every (yes, EVERY) visitor I have introduced has enjoyed the experience and loved the food.

Every good wish. An excellent and very refreshing website.

La Boheme. Ah yes! Now our favourite Cardiff restaurant. Though not of the standard of, say Le Gallois, it a lovely (ever so slightly decrepit) place with an excellent lunch menu and unpretentious atmosphere.

How about Four Seasons in Corporation Road? As far as I know it's the only Korean restaurant in Cardiff, I've been quite a few times, it's nice. Nice Yemenite cafe on Corporation Rd and I'll be trying Mezza Luna tonight. How can one contribute reviews or suggestions? Ta.

Mezzaluna in 159 City Road, Cardiff it’s a Lebanese restaurant, in a magnificent 16th-century Deco never seen so much attention for details like this restaurant.
The food must be the best Arabic food in the UK; the extensive menu seems overwhelming, order Mezza Comb, a mixed platter with everything from hummus and kebbeh to spit-cooked lamb shwarmas.
I would like to go back to see the belly dancer this weekend Love, Love….love it

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Woods Brasserie in the Bay this Saturday, excellent food and unpretentious, unobtrusive service (I don't work for them I promise!) . I think you'll like it there!

May I suggest that you carry out a review of Spice Route in the Red Dragon Centre. I found it unbelievable as did other members of the party I attended there.

Try Coriander on Albany Road. It's little like a cafe serving Indian food. They currently offer a £5.99 sit down meal - this includes a starter, main, rice and nan bread or side dish. I must admit to being a bit sceptical about the quality of the grub on offer when I first arrived. But when the food was served I was pleasantly surprised.

Also, what about the Juno on Wellfield Road. The food's pretty basic - and occasionally a little cool by the time it arrives - but it's very tasty and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing.

River View is a new Chinese Restaurant in Cowbridge (Penny Lane). I have already been there twice and it is my favourite Chinese around. It would be interesting to know what you think.

One establishment stands out as not being on your list.
You really need to go to The Thai House (http://www.thaihouse.biz).
I've visited many Oriental restaurants over the years, and The Thai house is just head and shoulders above.
I can't believe this gem was sitting on my doorstep for so long, without me knowing about it.

We ate at the 'Canteen on Clifton Street' (canteenoncliftonstreet.com) last night and had a wonderful meal. I'm loathe to tell anyone about this place in case it becomes too popular and getting a table may be impossible, however, it would be a travesty to keep this good cooking and egalitarian (vegan, vegetarian and omnivore) restaurant under wraps. The evening menu is small (three starters, three mains, three desserts) and changes every two weeks or so. The deal is two courses for £10.00 or three courses for £13.50. What a deal!! Each menu includes one main meat choice, and vegan versions are either already on the menu or available upon request. It's great to be able to go out with meat eating friends and find a menu which gives everyone choice. The food is full of variety (not just your typical and supremely boring vegetarian lasagne) with flavours from all over the world. Last night I had a delicious paneer, pea and endamame balti beautifully spiced served with a corriander roti, followed by a mushroom loaf with a tomato/chipotle sauce (delicious) and my dining companion had the wild garlic soup, followed by braised beef and guinness pie; both mains were served with hearty portions of braised red cabbage (slightly too vinegary for my companion) and champ (or colcannon since it was mash with cabbage or kale?). All yummy and good sized portions. The restaurant was busy, with a variety of patrons from older retired people, professional looking couples, families and student types, and there was genial buzz about the place. It's not veggie trippy at all and we really liked this about the place. It calls itself a canteen and the decor is not fancy, but the food is definitely the best Cardiff has to offer for vegetarians and I'd say there is some mighty fine dining available here!

Had the buffet in the Oriental Garden in the Red Dragon Centre, Cardiff Bay - £12.99 for all you can eat. The best Chinese buffet I have ever had. Because the staff were replenishing the dished continually, everything was hot, tasty and fresh. A huge range including prawns in CRISPY pastry, duck with pancakes, fresh vegetables, soups, desserts etc etc - really fab!
