(5/10) Jinuk doesn't do itself any favours from the outside. Cowbridge Road East might be Cardiff's curry mile, but you'd be forgiven for thinking one of its best Indians were a massage parlour, and that's if you even notice the sign. But then, perhaps it's nice for this to be our little secret, just the two of us?
So be brave, climb those stairs and check out the fantastic lighting. OK, so it's massage parlour lighting, but this really is a good curry house.
There was a treat for our visit: Wales's and Ireland's finest rugby fans doing battle in the medium of song across the tables. Many curry houses wouldn't have stood for it. The Jinuk boys just went with the craich. Nice one.
As for the food, they actually have a passion for it in this place. Take the recommendations - they are spot on. So our vindaloo request was swapped for a super-strong Chicken Captain Parthila. It was tastily assembled, with a subtle pilau rice and pillow-soft naans. It's all down to the 'special spices' the waiters reckon. Well maybe, but more like a restaurant owner who actually wants his customers to have a really good time with great food. Get down there. And on rugby night if possible.

O dear. Fairly dismal service last Saturday night. Took hours to get any food and had to endure waiters barking instructions in robotic fashion all night. That cost them a Jammy Dodger unfortunately.
1 Jammy dodger. Is that all! I thought the food was pretty average too. I'm afraid Curry Competition on that street is too fierce for service and food like that. I say get rid of 2 Jammy Dodgers.
